Kaamos was a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1998 and disbanded in 2006. The band's name comes from the Finnish word for polar night.

On April 16th, 2006, the band announced that they would be playing their last show at that year's Party-San Open Air and then split up. Turku, Varsinais-Suomi, Finland (1) Swedish (Stockholm) death metal band Kaamos was formed in 1998. They released two full-length albums, a few demos and EP's. Their brand of dark, occult-themed death metal enjoyed a small but steady following throughout the years. Kaamos was a Finnish progressive rock band formed in 1973. They released one album, Deeds and Talks in 1977 (M&T Production MTLP-7).
